Spotted Dick is a collection of the world's most enduring piece of public art: the humble cock and balls, scrawled on walls, windows, lamp-posts and toilet doors the world over.

I started photographing them because they make me laugh, and because there is something quietly wonderful about a doodle that crosses every border and language. This is my attempt to give them the gallery treatment they so richly deserve.
